
Dr. Lucy Mishra
Assistant Professor
Dr. Lucy Mishra has obtained her Ph. D from Utkal University. She did her Masters from the Banaras Hindu University. She has obtained her MBA from Sikkim Manipal University. Before joining the Department of Sociology, School of Liberal Studies, KIIT University she worked as a teaching faculty in the Department of Sociology, Ravenshaw University. She was also a teaching faculty at Ramadevi Womens’ University and The Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University (MSCB University), formerly North Orissa University (NOU). She has qualified UGC-NET. She served as ICSSR Doctoral Fellow at the Nabakrushna Choudhary Centre for Development Studies, Bhubaneswar. She has attended many seminars, conferences, workshops of national and international level. She has attended many FDPs. She has some of her articles published in reputed journals, UGC CARE journals and also ISBN publications. Her areas of interest include Sociology of gender, Tribal Studies, Political Sociology, Industrial Sociology, Rural Sociology, Sociology of Indian Society, Sociology of law. Presently she holds the position of UG Coordinator, Department of Sociology and also SAP coordinator.
