Department of Library and Information Science and central library, KIIT Deemed to be University successfully organized the international conference on marching beyond the libraries (ICMBL 2024) on the theme leadership, creativity and innovation under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Bijayalaxmi Routaray, organizing secretary, in the university premises. 350 delegates including 40 senior professors and delegates from 24 different states of India and distinguished speakers from 6 different countries shared their experiences and knowledge with the participants! The two days international conference was conducted in 12 sessions, and a total of 94 papers were presented in parallel sessions with 4 panel discussions with burning topics. It also offered ICMBL Young Librarian Award and best paper award to the deserving candidates
A pre-conference proceeding with ISBN published by Overseas Press, New Delhi was resealed in the inaugural ceremony of ICMBL 2024. A post conference proceeding to be published by Atlantis Press, Part of the Springer Nature was sent to press. ICMBL 2024 was graced by the honorable Founder KIIT, KISS, and KIMS Prof. (Dr.) Achyuta Samanta who profusely admired the distinguished professors, all delegates and the organizers as well. The students and Ph. D. scholars of the Department of Library and Information Science actively participated in this spectacular event.
