The Department of Sociology, KIIT School of Liberal Studies, organised an academic visit to the District Judicial Court Complex on 19 September 2026 for its BA and MA Sociology students. As part of this experiential learning initiative, students visited the Family Court and Sessions Court and observed court trials and judicial proceedings. The visit offered students valuable exposure to the functioning of the judicial system and the procedural stages involved in filing and processing cases. It also helped them understand the institutional mechanisms through which cases are handled within the court system. The experience enriched their sociological understanding of law, justice, family, and social institutions through direct engagement with judicial processes.
