The 4th KSFH Sociology Lecture Series was organized on 16 January 2024(Tuesday) by Department of Sociology with the august presence of Dr. Pranay Swain, Associate Professor, Chairperson, HSS , NISER,Bhubaneswar on the topic “Fostering Public Trust in Science:Remember the hits and forget the misses”. Dr. Swain spoke eloquently on the philosophy and history of science, the intellectual debates and discussions on science and the relevance of contextualizing science in present day context. It was a fruitful and interactive session with the participation of students of U.G. P.G. as well as PhD students of Sociology. Dr. Swain was honoured by the Esteemed Dean, KSFH, Prof Keshab Das. The session was followed by Viva of M.A. 1st semester students for their paper titled ‘Looking beyond Classrooms ‘.
