Department of Sociology, KIIT School of Social, Financial and Human Sciences organized an extramural lecture on “Foundations of Sociology: Text and Context”.
Prof. Rabindra K. Mohanty, Professor, and Head, Department of Sociology, Mizoram University, Mizoram joined the program as the resource person and discussed the origin and development of the discipline of sociology in different stages through the lens of five classical sociological thinkers i.e. A. Comte, H. Spencer, E. Durkheim, M. Weber and V. Pareto.
